MUMBAI: Ahead of BJP's crucial silver
jubilee national convention, the RSS on Monday laid out a roadmap for its future
asking it to remove the shortcomings and reaffirm faith in ideology reminding it
of its RSS foundation.
"BJP is a party of ideology. It is a party of
individuals who believe in ideology and who have the ability to solve problems.
We know that BJP is a big unit today but it has its foundation in Jan Sangh. The
Jan Sangh had its base in RSS."
"We understand that the BJP wants to
reach out to a lot of people but I can tell you if BJP is able to remove its
shortcomings, rectify its mistakes and has complete trust and faith in ideology,
certainly people will trust and it will grow, reach out everywhere and play its
role," RSS Joint General Secretary Madan Das Devi said in Mumbai.
He
was addressing a function to release a special volume of periodical 'Vivek' on
25 years of BJP. Party President L K Advani and a host of senior party leaders
including General Secretary Pramod Mahajan were present.
